London Underground Metropolitan Line Moquette Cushion

Hugely familiar to the capital’s commuters, the A stock trains of the Metropolitan line were the longest serving units on the London Underground system and were upholstered in this triangular moquette between 2004 and 2012. A dark blue background with light blue and magenta triangles (magenta being the colour of the Met line on the Underground map), this unmistakable design brings back fond memories of compartment-style, high-backed seats, rattling through Metroland with luggage racks above your head and even that distinct smell that refurbished A stock trains had.
